Andrew Butler’s Biography
Andrew was born in Scunthorpe and following his BA Honours Degree in Fine Arts and Textiles continued his studies graduating with an MA from the Royal College of Art, London in 1987. He came to live in Northern Ireland in 1990 but his talent has only recently been discovered as Andrew is by nature quite private and reclusive about his work. He has however, occassionally been persuaded to exhibit and has shown as far afield as Phoenix, Arizona, as well as London, Huddersfield and a few select venues in Belfast.
His work focuses on figurative motion and emotion which combined with his technical brilliance produces powerful and dramatic statements of a quality rarely seen outside national galleries.
