Angus MacInnes’s Biography

MacInnes finished his BA (hons) at Glasgow School of Art in 1992. Since then he has featured in many group shows around the world - including 'Half the World Away' - At Hallwalls Contemporary Art Center, Buffalo, New York. 'Absolut Open' - Scotland and 'True Value' - Chicago.

MacInnes has been widely collected internationally and has started to form an excellent reputation with critics and curators. MacInnes and one or two of his contemporaries have set a new standard in contemporary Scottish painting. MacInnes has recently finished a painting residency in Naples where he has developed his abstract and painterly style, drawing on the entropic beauty of the neopolitan landscape.
