Arnold Gardiner’s Biography
Arnold Gardiner has painted in watercolour all over Ireland, in various parts of the Mediterranean and in Venice, his favourite location.
While landscape remains his first love he is very much at home painting buildings and industrial “scenery”. The Ulster Museum acquired a number of his paintings of work in progress at the Cross- Harbour Bridges and Lagan Weir and, more recently The Odyssey commissioned a number of paintings.
For the last few years Arnold has been working on a series of paintings of the area around the Queen’s Road to record an historic part of Belfast which will soon be changed forever. One of this series was exhibited at the Royal Ulster Academy exhibition in 2003.
