Carol Henry’s Biography
Born in Cookstown in 1963, Carol has always been interested in artworks of the human form. Carol tries to capture the complexity of human nature in her sculptures and paintings. The focus of her work in art college was self-portraiture, but as she has developed as an artist Carol has moved more towards creating images of others.
In recent years she has become increasingly interested in clay, being drawn to the visual depth and three dimensional challenges of this medium. Sculpture inhabits real space, it asks to be touched and it rewards attention from all angles. It has a sensual presence.
