Connor Maguire’s Biography

Connor studied at the University of Ulster in Belfast after completing his A-levels in art & design and GCSE exams .He then took a year out visiting New York in the states spending a period of time travelling. Returning home in 1999 he then began to concentrate pursuing a career as an artist.

In March 2003 Connor was awarded the Down Chairman's award for his achievements in art. Also he has taken part in events organised by the NIVAF and The Princes Trust in Hillsborough castle which is a location famously known for the peace talks in Northern Ireland. He has exhibited alongside N.Irelands most respected artists like Neil Shawcross, Basil Blackshaw and many others across the province as well as receiving a publication of his work and a letter of congratulations from Prince Charles at Clarence house.
