Darren Paul’s Biography

Born in Belfast in 1944, Darren Paul has always had a loving relationship with art. As a youth he remembers fondly art classes under the tutorage of Desmond Kinney and attending lectures delivered by Neil Shawcross at Belfast Technical College.

A full time professional artist, Darren Paul’s skill lies in his technique of storytelling on canvas. His style is impressionistic and figurative. Location takes second place to his central purpose – that of capturing the moment, experience and mood of the time.

He is currently working towards a major exhibition for the European Parliament Building, Brussels to take place in 2003.
