David Overend’s Biography
David Anthony Overend was born 1933 in Birstall, Yorkshire. He began painting at a very early age, and was encouraged by his two aunts, Hilda Garbutt and Mabel Overend both very accomplished watercolourists. He is also a direct descendant of William Heysham Overend RA.
David married a Belfast girl and moved to Northern Ireland where his painting flourished. He loves to paint the Irish Landscape and never ceases to be inspired by it. He exhibits all over Ireland and his work can be found in collections both here and abroad.
