John Long’s Biography
John was born in Portadown, Northern Ireland and studied painting at The Slade School of Art from 1984 - 1990. In 1995 he was elected an ARHA and is a regular exhibitor at the RHA. For the past ten years John has participated in many group shows in London and Dublin as well as taking part in the Twentieth Century British Art Fair in the Royal College of Art. John's work is represented in the Haverty Trust Collection. As well as working full time as an artist John teaches in various colleges including the National College of Art and Design, Dublin and Canterbury, Christchurch College.
