Noreen Walshe’s Biography
Walshe's style can vary from representational to the sensory interpretation of people and place. Infusing her work in general is a strong sense of line, shape and color. Her work hangs in private and corporate collections in Ireland, the U.S.A., Canada, South Africa, and Europe. Walshe is a full-time professional painter living near Navan, Co.Meath in Southern Ireland. After fourteen years of teaching languages, music and art, she fulfilled her dream to study painting and graduated from the National College of Art and Design in 1992. She exhibits both at home and abroad, and has work in corporate and private collections in Ireland, the United States, Canada, South Africa, and Europe. Noreen draws inspiration from many sources and esoteric traditions of earlier cultures and from work trips abroad to places like India, Italy, France and Hawaii. She has also drawn consistantly on the rich resources that the Aran Islands, off the West coast of Ireland, have provided over the past twenty years. Walshe works in watercolors and oils with a strong sense of line and color.
