Rachel Sharp’s Biography
At present Rachel is working mostly in watercolours to explore the properties of light and colour. The medium is well suited to this practice. Her paintings are not so much about the subjects, such as a bowl of fruit, as about the flow and colour of light, and the infinite number of ways it dresses the world before us.
Rachel studied painting at the New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture and has exhibited widely on both sides of the Atlantic. Originally from Indiana she now lives in the south west of England.
